The Mason County Commission recently purchased an electronic sign for the Mason County Health Department. The sign is to be used to update the public on health department and community announcements. The health department, and therefore the sign, have a backup generator should the power go out. This means in an emergency situation, such as the major power outages this summer, public service announcements will be visible, alerting the community to the location of shelters, food, etc. Pictured are Sherri Nutter, Diana Riddle and Jennifer Thomas from the health department with County Administrator John Gerlach.
