HEMLOCK, Ohio — Winning games you’re supposed to.

The third place South Gallia girls basketball team defeated last place Miller 62-36 in a Tri-Valley Conference Hocking Division match up Thursday in Perry County.

The Lady Rebels (17-4, 12-3 TVC Hocking) held a 36-12 lead at halftime and went on to the 26 point victory over Miller (2-20, 2-14).

Ellie Bostic led South Gallia with 18 points, followed by Rachel Johnson with 17 and Meghan Caldwell with 12. Jasmyne Johnson marked eight points, while Mikayla Poling, Rebecca Rutt and Caitlyn Vanscoy each finished with two. Sara Bailey rounded out the SGHS scoring with on point on the night.

SGHS was 10-of-15 from the free throw line for 66.7 percent.

Miller was paced by Ali Bray with 12 and Sanae Dutiel with 10 points. Jacy Dutiel and Twilia Muncy each had four points, Gibson had three, Makayla Alexander added two and Rebecca Houk rounded out the Lady Falcons scoring with one point.

South Gallia also defeated Miller on November 26th in Mercerville by a count of 68-26.
