Judy Carol Payne, 62, of Apple Grove died Friday, July 3, 2009 at Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House in Huntington.

She was a homemaker and member of Barton Chapel Church in Apple Grove.

Judy was born September 22, 1946, daughter of the late Truman J. Mayse and Ada Susan (White) Mayse.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Wanda Lee Mollet; and one brother, Dale Mayse.

Surviving is her husband, Gary Payne of Apple Grove; two sons, Gary Payne II and wife Tammy of Milton, and John Kevin Payne of Fort Mill, S.C.; a daughter-in-law, Angela Hoffman of Fort Mill, S.C.; two sisters, Maxine (Dick) Ellison of Branford, Fla., and Cathy Jan Casey of Huntington; one brother, Larry Mayse of Coshocton, Ohio; special brother-in-law, James Mollet of Huntington; mother-in-law, Sibyl Martin of Apple Grove; and five grandchildren, Savannah Carol Payne and Summer Dawn Payne of Milton, and Judy Catherine Payne, Lauren Madison Payne and Olivia Hope Payne all of Fort Mill, S.C.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. today at Barton Chapel Church in Apple Grove with Pastor Ronald Long officiating. Burial will follow at Moores Chapel Cemetery in Ashton. Visitation will be held today from noon-2 p.m. at Barton Chapel Church in Apple Grove.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant.
