Sandra Lee Stanley, 51, of Point Pleasant, died after a long illness on Sunday Nov. 1, 2009 at Pleasant Valley Hospital.

She was born May 12 1958 in Mason County a daughter to the late Willard (Jack) Leach and Betty J. Byus Thomas Leach. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by a son, David William Long II; a sister, Shari M. Thomas Dunlap; and brothers, Paul Allen Thomas and Robert Burly Leach.

She is survived by her husband, Gene Arthur Stanley; daughter, CassSandra Marko Gene Stanley (James Tony Griffith) of Point Pleasant; son, Dustin Gene Allen Stanley of Point Pleasant; grandchildren, Caylee Bren Griffith, Austin, Aariah, Hayley and Braiden Long; sisters, Patti Lynn (Steve) Durbin Point Pleasant and Ruth Ann (Tommy) Glenn of Martinsville, Va.; brothers, Mark Andrew (Erma) Leach of Gallipolis Ferry and Donald William (Florence) Leach of Point Pleasant; sister-in-law, Roxanne (Jim) Knapp of Letart, Darlene Stanley and Azel Chandler of Columbus, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 5 at the Deal Funeral Home with Carl Swisher officiating. Entombment will be in the Jackson Memory Gardens in Jackson County. Friends may call form 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. The family would like to thank the West Virginia Choices for the wonderful care that was given to her.
