Vivian V. Fry, 80, of Columbus, Ohio, and formerly of Mason, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 23, 2010.

She was born March 7, 1929 in West Columbia; a daughter of the late Charles and Eula (Tate) Ferguson, and a wonderful wife to the late William “Bill” Fry. She was a member of the Mason United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her sisters, Jean Sayre and Alice Knapp; and brothers, Earl, William, and Jerry Ferguson.

She was a caring mother of three sons, Charles “Mike” (Jane) Fry of Columbus, Ohio, William “Billy” Fry, Jr. of Hartford, and Mark (Trish Hollis) Fry of Mason and an understanding grandmother to Stacey (Eric) Meskimen of Plainfield, Ind., and Wendy (Joe) Benedetto of Parker Colo. She also is survived by step grandchildren, Eric Wagner and Amy Blake; great grandchildren, Christian Benedetto, Brianna Benedetto, Carter Benedetto, Andrew Meskimen, and Jacob Meskimen; and step great grandchildren, Nolan Blake. She enjoyed spending time with her sisters, Clarice Wallace and Sandy (Charles) Hargraves, both of New Haven; and brother, Russell Ferguson of Fla., as well as her brother-in-law, Samuel Fry of Pomeroy, Ohio, and special friend, Michael Bachman. She also is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, January 26, at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Letart with Pastor Charles Hargraves officiating.
