POINT PLEASANT — Mason County Schools held the Career and Technical Student Organization contests Feb. 4 at the Mason County Career Center.

Nearly 140 students from all three area junior/senior high schools competed in trade and industrial, agricultural, health occupation and business education contests within the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), Future Farmers of America (FFA), Health Occupation Students of America (HOSA) and SkillsUSA events.

At the start of the awards assembly, held at the Point Pleasant Jr/Sr High School Auditorium, Ruth Caplinger, vocational director/principal of the MCCC, welcomed all the students and congratulated everyone on a job well done. The judging of the different categories were carried out Thursday morning.

Winners are as follows:

A special thanks was give to the ProStart students and Mrs. Anderson for lunch, Jeff Wamsley’s Graphic Design students for the prizes for all of the winners, and all of the Mason County Career Center staff for their assistance.
