Clarice was a beloved mother and the last surviving sibling from a family of eight children. She was a member of the Trinity Church of Pomeroy, Ohio, a member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority-Preceptor Beta Beta Chapter, and a member of the Chester Garden Club. Clarice was a successful Pomeroy merchant for over 40 years, owning and operating K & C Jeweler’s until her retirement in 1997. Many will remember her warm smile and gracious personality, and she will be sadly missed.
Clarice was preceded in death by her husband, Karl Krautter, who passed on December 10, 1988.
She is survived by her son, Keith Krautter of Columbus, Ohio; her daughter, Kim Krautter-Thompson (and husband, Rocky) of Pomeroy, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews from the local area and beyond.
Sevices will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, February 14, at the Trinity Church in Pomeroy, Ohio. Entombment will follow in the Meigs Memory Gardens located in Pomeroy, Ohio. Visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Saturday, February 13, at the Anderson McDaniel Funeral Home in Pomeroy, Ohio.
