Leota Mae Andereson, 72, Leon, went home to be with the Lord with her family at her side on Friday, July 16, 2010, at her home.

She was born Sept. 1, 1937, in Mason County, a daughter to the late Daniel Mathney and Myrtle McDade Mathney. She was a homemaker and a member of the Pine Grove Church in Leon.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wilmer Anderson; and great grandchildren, Michael Combs and Brayden Combs; brother, Ferry Mathney; and sisters Opal Mathney and Vesta Stone.

She is survived by her son, Kevin Anderson of Leon; daughters, Cindy Combs and (Johnny Sayre) of Roberts burg, Norma Anderson and (Gorden Barlow ) of Philippi, and Patricia and (Roger) Durst of Leon; grandchildren, Brandy and (Colle) Buck, Cheyne Combs and (Katie Culver), Jason Combs and (Breanna Roush) and there father, Michael Combs; sister, Sylvia Malcolm of Nashville, Tenn.; brother, Harry Mathney of Leon; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.

A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Monday July 19 at the Pine Grove Cemetery in Leon, with Johnny Hayman and Rev. Chris Thomas officiating.
