Pictured are Josh, Ashley and Harry Siders, the new owners of Siders & Sons Jewelers. Josh is the third generation to own the jewelry store with two locations. Point Pleasant Mayor Brian Billings, City Clerk Amber Tatterson and Main Street Point Pleasant member Carolyn Harris is pictured during the ribbon cutting ceremony held recently.
Siders & Sons Jewelers may have began as a watch-making business, but the two locations in Point Pleasant and Gallipolis, Ohio now offer a variety of jewels, gemstones, beads, purses, candles and clocks.
“I am the third generation to own this business, and hopefully with our new addition, Harry Cooper Siders, we have a possible fourth generation in the family,” Josh Siders said.
Josh’s grandfather, Harry Siders and his wife, Blanche, first began the business. In 1997, David (his father) joined the family business, and in 2002, he and his wife, JoAnne became the owners and opened the two locations.
Now, 63 years later, the business will continue the tradition under new ownership.
“We have everything from Viva Beads, Black Hills Gold jewelry, and mantel clocks to gemstones, purses, pearls, and Willow Tree Collections,” Ashley Siders said. “We also have a big bridal selection.”
The new owners, who happily cut the grand opening ribbon with their son Harry in arms, also offer special ordering, sizing and layaways at their store.
“We look forward to continuing to serve our customers,” Josh Siders said. “Stop in and see us.”
Siders & Sons Jewelers is open Monday-Saturday, 9:30-5:30 p.m. They are located on Main Street in Point Pleasant, and in the Wal-Mart Plaza in Gallipolis, Ohio.
