Ella Mae Northup, 83, Gallipolis, Ohio, passed away Monday, January 14, 2013, in St. Mary’s Hospital, Huntington, West Virginia. She was born December 12, 1929, in Plain City, Ohio, daughter of the late Robert Wilson and Blanche Mabel (Eckard) Love. She retired from North American Rockwell, Columbus, Ohio, and also retired from Federal Mogul, Gallipolis, Ohio, in 1994. Ella married Harlan W. Northup, who preceded her in death October 23, 2010, and she was a life member of Robert Morris Order of Eastern Star, Columbus, Ohio.

She is survived by son, Robert (Theresa) Northup, Gallipolis, Ohio; grandchildren, Katherine (Chris) Williams, San Diego, Calif.; Robert A. Northup, Pomeroy, Ohio; James H. Northup, Zachary P. Northup and Jessica R. Northup, all of Gallipolis, Ohio; sister-in-law, Pat Northup, Gallipolis, Ohio; nephew, Mike (Katrina) Northup, Gallipolis, Ohio; and niece, Rose Marie Davis, Columbus, Ohio; and several cousins and extended family members.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Gregory A. Northup.

Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m., Saturday, January 19, 2013, in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, Gallipolis, Ohio, with Father Thomas Hamm officiating. Burial will follow in Mound Hill Cemetery. Friends and family may call from 11 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday at the funeral home.
