Delores J. (Greenlee) Newberry, 76, of Point Pleasant, went home to be with her Lord on Friday morning, February 8, 2013, with her family by her side. Delores was a retired cook in Mason County Schools, where she worked at North Point Elementary School for over 26 years. She was also a member of the Krebs Chapel Church.

Delores was born on April 2, 1936, in Mason County, a daughter to the late Howard and Bessie (Marshall) Greenlee. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

Delores is survived by her husband, Robert Junior Newberry; daughters and sons-in-law, Darla and Gary Walbrown, Linda and Marty Roush, Sharon and Carl Morris, all of Point Pleasant and Karen and Tim Harper, of Gallipolis Ferry; grandchildren, Kevin Casto, Lurinda Gardner, Chris and Andrew Walbrown, Zach and Anna Jo Morris and Timmy and Tisha Harper; great-grandchildren, Bentley, Drake, Lucrysta and Skyla; sisters and brothers-in-law, Dorothy and Jim McCoy, of Huntington and Rosie and Tom McCoy, of Lesage; and several nieces and nephews.

Delores’s life will be remembered at noon on Tuesday, February 12, 2013, at the Crow-Hussell Funeral Home, with Rev. Mike Lambert officiating. Burial will follow in Creston Cemetery, in Leon. Visitation was held from 6-9 p.m. on Monday evening, February 11, 2013, at the funeral home.

Delores’s care has been entrusted to Crow-Hussell Funeral Home.
