Wanda Gail (Johnson) Whitt, 90, of Gallipolis, Ohio, passed away early Sunday morning February 24, 2013 at Arbors of Gallipolis, Ohio.

Wanda was born April 13, 1922, to the late Walter and Ora (McCallister) Johnson. Besides her parents, Wanda is preceeded in death by an infant sister, Vera Mae Johnson; brother, Walter F. Johnson Jr.; her first husband, Dallas O. Carney; and second husband, Ted Whitt.

She is survived by her two sons, William and Linda Carney, and Gary Carney; grandson, Daniel Carney; three step-daughters, Cindy and John Richardson, Candy Sommers, and Lana Whitt. Also surviving are two step-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren.

Wanda was the manager of the Shoppers Mart store in Point Pleasant for many years. She was also a loving hard working homemaker loving mother and grandmother. She attended the First Church of God in Gallipolis, Ohio, and enjoyed traveling and attending mayor league baseball games with her family.

Services for Wanda will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, February 28, 2013, at the Crow-Hussell Funeral Home, with the funeral service at 1 p.m. on Friday, March 1, 2013. Burial will follow at the Mt. Union Cemetery in Pliny, W.Va.
