Larry R. Sayre, age 73, of Commercial Point, passed away March 9, 2013, at Kobacher House Hospice. He was born, February 19, 1940, in Letart, to the late Harry and Mary Sayre.

Larry retired after 40 years as a dispatcher for CSX Railroad, and was a US Air Force Veteran. He had many passions, whether fishing with his son, watching westerns, traveling to Myrtle Beach, the Cincinnati Reds and buying bikes for his family, whether they needed it or not.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Joyce Sayre; children, Lisa (Dewey) Mollohan, Tammy (Ed McClure) Miller and Larry Sayre II; grandchildren April (Casey), Joshua, Maxwell, Savannah, Sierra and Hadley; great-grandchildren, Cameron and Alaina.

Visitation was held from 3-5 p.m. on Sunday at the Spence-Miller Funeral Home, at 2697 Columbus St. Grove City. Graveside service was at 1 p.m. on Monday at Beckett Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Kobacher House (Ohio Health) in Larry’s memory.
