Sadie E. Bailes, 77, of Point Pleasant, passed away at her home on March 7, 2013. She was born March 23, 1935, in Mason County, a daughter to the late Otis and Ethel Harris Rainey. She was a retired clerk from Southern States in Point Pleasant, and an former Mason County Commissioner from 1992 to 1998. She was a member of the Bellemead United Methodist Church, and the Eastern Star # 75 in Point Pleasant. Her first job was at the G.C. Murphy’s in Point Pleasant.
Preceded in death, besides her parents, was her husband, Romie Lee Bailes; and sister, Marcella King.
Survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Shani and Charles Angel of Fla.; one grandson, Charles Ryan Angel; sister, Linda Roseberrry of Ind.; sister-in-law, Audrey Bowles of Leon; nephews, Chuck King of Fla., Joe Roseberry of Ind.; niece, Joanna Montgomery of Ill.; and family friend, Medina Angel.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 15, 2013, at the Bellemead United Methodist Church, with Rev. James Lawson officiating. Burial will be in the Suncrest Cemetery in Point Pleasant. Friends may visit the family from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday at the Deal Funeral Home and one hour prior the the service at the church. There will be an Eastern Star Service at 7 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
